Dmitry studied at the Moscow conservatoire specialising in choral conducting and singing. In 2002 he was a prize winner in the Belle Voce competition. Since 2002 Dmitry has been a soloist of Helikon Opera and since 2011, he has been a guest artist with the Bolshoi Theatre, making his debut as General Polkan in “The Golden Cockerel”. Dmitry and has been a guest artist with Mikhailovsky Theatre St. Petersburg since 2015 where he has worked with Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Vassily Sinaisky and Mikhail Pletnev. For the Bolshoi, Dmitry has sung Tchelio (Love of Three Oranges) and General Polkan (The Golden Cockerel). He was the Master of Ceremonies for the 2014 Elena Obraztsova Opera Ball with Elena Obraztsova, with Nikolai Tsiskaridze, Angela Gheorghiu, Dmitry Korchak, Olga Borodina and Asmik Grigorian. Dmitry was also The Master of Ceremonies for the 2015 Elena Obraztsova Memorial Opera Ball with Anna Netrebko, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Maria Guleghina, Olga Peretyatko, Jose Cura, and Bruno Pratico. For St Petersburg, Dmitry has sung the title role in Don Pasquale, The Old Gipsy (Aleko), Don Bartolo, Colline and Vodnik (Rusalka). Dmitry’s engagements outside Russia include: Dr. Kolenaty (The Makropulos Affair) Grand Theatre, Miskolci Nemzetközi Operafesztivál "Bartók, Boris (Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk) for Teatro Municipal de Sao Paulo, Brazil and for the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. Pimen and Don Bartolo (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) Saaremaa Opera Days, The Kuressaare Castle Opera House, Estonia. Ramphis, Pimen and The High Priest (Nabucco) with Maria Guleghina as Abigaille for Opera de Massy.
Dmitry has also sung as a guest artist with the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Estonian National Opera and Opera Samara. In 2018 he covered both Boris Izmailov and The Priest at short notice for The Royal Opera Covent Garden. In 2019 Dmitry was invited to the Perm Opera Theatre to perform the role of Colline (La Boheme) and Don Alfonso (conductor - Theodor Currentzis). In 2020 Dmitry has performed Daland in the semi-stage version of Der Fliegende Hollander with the participation of Albert Dohmen (Hollander). Conductor - Alexander Sladkovsky. Moscow Filarmonic Hall. For the Helikon Opera season 2020/2021 Dmitry has performed roles : Leporello (The Stone guest), Il Sagrestano (Tosca), Grenvil (La Traviata, conductor - A.Sladkovsky), Falstaff, Salieri (Mozart and Saliery), Polkan (Golden Cockerel), Timur (Turandot), Ferrando (Il Trovatore) In 2017 Dmitry was nominated for the National Theatre Golden Mask Award.
